Inducible Dynamic Behavior of Polyion Complex Vesicles by Disrupting Charge Balance

نویسندگان

چکیده

The formation and dynamic behavior of polyion complex-based vesicles (PICsomes) were examined under charge-balance disrupting conditions, using homo-catiomer pegylated-aniomer. Under catiomer-rich an unusual increase in the PICsome size was observed, which primarily attributed to Ostwald ripening. This growth triggered by addition a switch composition PIC membrane. results provide insight into design smart PIC-based systems for functional nanocapsules. conditions.

Constructing Asymmetric Polyion Complex Vesicles via Template Assembling Strategy: Formulation Control and Tunable Permeability

A strategy for constructing polyion complex vesicles (PICsomes) with asymmetric structure is described. Poly(methylacrylic acid)-block-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) modified gold nanoparticles (PMAA-b-PNIPAm-@-Au NPs) were prepared and then assembled with poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly[1-methyl-3-(2-methacryloyloxy propylimidazolium bromine)] (PEG-b-PMMPImB) via polyion complex of PMMA and PMMP...

Polyion Complex Vesicles with Solvated Phosphobetaine Shells Formed from Oppositely Charged Diblock Copolymers

Diblock copolymers consisting of a hydrophilic poly(2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl phosphorylcholine) (PMPC) block and either a cationic or anionic block were prepared from (3-(methacrylamido)propyl)trimethylammonium chloride (MAPTAC) or sodium 2-(acrylamido)-2methylpropanesulfonate (AMPS). Polymers were synthesized via reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) radical polymerization us...

Dynamic Generation of Complex Behavior

Simulation can be an effective training method if the simulation environment is as realistic as possible. An ‘important part of the training for Navy pilots involves flying against computer-controlled agents in simulated tactical scenarios. In order for such a situation to be realistic, the computer-controlled agents must be indistinguishable from human-piloted agents within the simulated envir...

Gelatinepectin composite films from polyion-complex hydrogels

Preparation and properties of composite films from gelatin and low-methoxyl pectin from simultaneous reversible and permanent polyion-complex hydrogels are presented. Ionic interactions between positively charged gelatin and negatively charged pectin produce reversible physical hydrogels with homogeneous molecular arrangement that improve both mechanical and water resistance but do not alter th...

The aqueous phase behavior of polyion-surfactant ion complex salts mixed with nonionic surfactants.

The aim of this work was to study intermolecular interactions in systems containing charged polyion (polyacrylate, PA(-)), charged surfactant (C(16)TA(+)) and nonionic surfactant (C(12)E(5) or C(12)E(8)). To achieve this we have created four different phase diagrams using two different so-called complex salts, C(16)TAPA(25) and C(16)TAPA(6000), both consisting of positively charged surfactant (...
